Tool, Korn and Deftones to Norwegian Summer Festivals

Norway's where you wanna be in the summer 2006 if you're into "alternative" metal:

Tool play at the Quart Festival Tuesday 4th of July.

Both Korn and Deftones are confirmed to play Norwegian Wood Friday the 16th of June.

Unfortunate band names part 2: Mohammed

Frightened by the muslim riots all over the world due to Mohammed cartoons, Norwegian Hard Rock Band Mohammed says in a press release that they're sorry if they have offended any Muslims with their band name. The band say they chose the name because it sounds cool. Via NRK.

Fact: The band's second album Blackbomber was hailed as Cream Of The Crop 2005 by The Daily Vault.

Sigur Ros
